I’d like to share a TrailOut LAB video. This one teaches you exactly how to make steel mesh brake lines for your bike/car in an inexpensive way.



"Common (rubber) brake tubes will not maintain their inner radius when the oil inside them reaches a certain temperature. Hard riding will stress the brakes making the whole line (disks, pads, oil & tubes) over-heat resulting in inconsistent or even lack of braking power.
Needless to say that this won't ever happen with a steel mesh braking line"

How much savings can we obtain with this home made brake lines?
Maybe a new brand kit costs approx 100 €, and there is a warranty from the maker...

Your argument is valid, of course, but the price depends from country to country.
Its true you don't get any warranty, but if well made you won't ever have any problems with this DIY mod. A lot of people (even professionals) use this kind of steel mesh lines

My XTZ750 has 3 brake lines, 2 for the front and 1 for the rear. Home-made I spent +/- 35€, if I had bought the "official" thing it would be 120€ or so.

Its still a nice saving

We had to prepare my XTZ and 9 XTs for our tour company so we saved quite a lot of money there
